On Sunday, May 31, 2026, with the cooperation of DMO NAGASAKI (Nagasaki International Tourism & Convention Association), we held the 4th “Let’s Talk with Local People! Japanese Workshop”.
In this final session, Ms. Mai Saito from DMO NAGASAKI joined online and delivered a lecture on “Things to Enjoy in Nagasaki”. Originally from Tokyo and having lived in Nagasaki for about half a year, Ms. Saito offered a thorough introduction to the city’s charms — precisely from the perspective of someone who moved from Tokyo.
Participants eagerly asked questions about the differences between fresh and aged horse mackerel, local power spots and mystery spots, events held in Nagasaki, how to access the city, and transportation options for sightseeing. They imagined the places they would visit, the sushi they would eat, and the activities they would join once in Nagasaki. Deeply captivated, they left the classroom saying, “My next trip will definitely be to Nagasaki!”
