I had been studying Japanese for several years, but I always felt a lack of confidence when it came to speaking in real conversations. Through a colleague’s introduction, I discovered that Pasona’s courses are all taught by native Japanese teachers, with a strong focus on small-group conversation, games, and activities. This year, they even introduced workshops for speaking with locals and learning from voice actors. I am deeply grateful for the teachers’ dedication, and now I look forward to every lesson each week!

Studying Japanese has always been my interest. Whether during my school years or after entering the workplace, I have continued learning without interruption. Time flew by, and nearly twenty years have passed. In Hong Kong, work often requires overtime, so pursuing evening studies is not easy. Fortunately, I found Pasona, conveniently located in the busiest part of Causeway Bay, just five minutes’ walk from my office.

I have already been studying here for more than ten years. Their activity-based teaching style makes learning simple and enjoyable. I look forward to Japanese lesson every week.

Choosing to study Japanese at Pasona was my way of breaking free from rote learning. At Pasona, the emphasis is on conversation and practical application, so you don’t just study without being able to speak. It gave me the confidence to ask questions and communicate freely during my trips to Japan. With Japanese teachers and small-class instruction, everyone bonded easily and the classroom atmosphere was always cheerful. The most memorable lesson was when a Japanese guest was invited for being interviewed. Although I was nervous, the experience was truly rewarding!

From G1 up to the current M class, studying Japanese at Pasona has completely freed me from the shadow of rote learning. The Japanese teachers place strong emphasis on conversation and practical application, so I not only mastered grammar but also gained the confidence to communicate. Even when traveling in Japan, I can now respond with ease.

Small-class teaching makes every lesson lively, and what’s even more rewarding is meeting classmates from diverse backgrounds. To further sharpen my language ability, I enjoy watching Japanese films to experience authentic expressions on screen, then exchanging insights with classmates afterwards. In this relaxed atmosphere, we grow together, allowing Japanese to truly become part of everyday life.

What I like most about Pasona is that the lessons are conducted entirely in Japanese. Actually, I wasn’t very good at using honorifics before, but now I’ve finally learned how to speak properly. I can also really feel the depth of Japanese culture. Sometimes, I even get the chance to talk with Japanese gaming KOLs and exchange students visiting Hong Kong, These are all unique experiences for me!

I would recommend Pasona to students who want to accelerate their Japanese listening and speaking practice, as the learning environment here can help you make rapid progress!

After graduating from university, I wanted to continue studying Japanese. Through a friend’s introduction, I came to Pasona in Causeway Bay. The location was convenient, the environment was comfortable, and all the teachers were Japanese, so I studied there for about a year.

In every lesson, the teacher arranged plenty of conversation time, as well as pair work to practice sentence patterns and grammar. At that time, each lesson was enjoyable. The classmates I met also stayed in touch afterwards, making it a wonderful memory in my life☺️.

“How many years has it been since I started?” I asked my Japanese teacher. The answer was six years. Honestly, I could hardly believe I had kept it going for so long.

Over these six years, many things have happened—marriage, returning to school, changing jobs, and the birth of my children. Life has changed greatly, and I’ve moved forward step by step. So, how has my Japanese study been? I wondered lying in bed.

Although there are still many shortcomings in my Japanese studies (partly due to my own laziness), thanks to my Japanese teachers I have greatly improved and gained confidence in speaking Japanese. So, what will I do next? Of course, I want to continue studying Japanese because the lessons are really enjoyable.

Here, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the teachers and staff at Pasona. Thank you sincerely for your support over these six years. I look forward to continuing this journey together for many years to come.
