On Friday, May 22, 2026, we held the 3rd “Iconic Anime Quotes Workshop.” This time, the workshop focused on “male speech” and “female speech”, which is one of the unique features of the Japanese language. This includes learning speaking styles and expressions that match different characters. We also conducted quizzes on famous anime characters’ catchphrases and memorable sentence endings, and participants practiced saying the lines in character. After that, we carried out dubbing exercises using works like “SPY×FAMILY” and “The Apothecary Diaries”. Finally, although not an anime theme song, we enthusiastically sang “La La La Love Song” using lyrics written in romanized Japanese, responding to a request from participants. Through their favorite anime and songs, all participants were able to engage with Japanese in a fun and meaningful way. This four-part workshop series will conclude with its final session on June 5.
